Fabric: Linen/cotton feature fabric with bark cloth texture. Lining and matching fabric is cotton.
Colours: The base cloth is rust brown. The ink is black.

The fabric was hand-printed in the community art centre by Aboriginal printers and then beautifully crafted by our fair trade partners, in Cambodia. Kravan House was a pioneer social enterprise in Phnom Penh and has been training and employing disabled artisans since 2003.

The design: Spiderweb c 1974
Spider web is called pirraka or pwanga in Tiwi. The spider woman ancestor Baraka is believed to have made the first bark tunga.
