About the design: Rooster
Karen is an animal lover. As well as Jukurrpa (Dreaming Stories) Karen paints birds and other animals that live in and surround the community at Yuendumu. Karen has painted a series of works that depict the birds around Yuendumu. These works largely relate to parrots, finches and other wildlife, but in this painting Karen has painted a beautiful rooster, one of her favourite Yuendumu birds.
