Villageworks
Villageworks Cambodia was established in 2001 as a social enterprise. They create a selection of accessories and homewares and are innovative in the materials used including recycled, organic and natural materials. In 2015 they became certified members of the World Fair Trade Organisation (WFTO).
We believe in creating an environment where marginalized people discover their passion, dignity and self-sufficiency to unleash their full potential. We support vulnerable and marginalized groups by creating economic opportunities. We train and provide skills to home-based workers in remote parts of rural Cambodia and disabled people in Phnom Penh, with the aim of promoting sustainable livelihoods.
Villageworks
I began frequenting Villageworks as a customer in 2010 in the shop near the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum. The quality of their handicrafts stood out and it was always a pleasure (and massive temptation) visiting. We began working together in 2013 and they now make a special range of bags and purses for us.
